Black Diamond's widest ski in their Helio Carbon touring series, the Helio Carbon 115 is recommended for 90% powder / 10% hard snow use and is designed for skiing deep and fast technical descents. A true powder touring ski, despite it's 144-115-126 cm shape the Helio Carbon weighs in at only 3.32 kg / pair, making long ascents and tours practical - not always the case with skis this wide. The early rise in the tip and tail improves turn initiation, flotation and trail-breaking efficiency, and the ABS tail protector also has an integrated skin-clip tab to keep your skins secure. The Helio Carbon 115 is built with Black Diamond's pre-preg carbon fiber layup, paulownia wood core and 5 mm bevelled ABS sidewalls for dampness, combined with the torsional stiffness and smooth flex needed to charge through deep powder or variable crud. Built with a titanal binding mounting plate to avoid bindings ripping out however hard you ski, the Helio Carbon 115 will ensure you fulfill your backcountry powder ambitions.
