K2 have upgraded their Wayback and Talkback touring series skis, with new construction, sidecuts and flex profiles for 2024. The result of rigorous testing by K2's athletes and ski touring guides, these new skis redefine the standard for lightweight high-performance touring.
The Wayback 89 W is designed for women guides, mountain professionals and experienced ski tourers who want the most effective tool for the backcountry.
Built with a very versatile 121-89-107 mm shape, the Wayback 89 W has a light yet strong Paulownia wood core,Titanal Touring Technology and reinforced with carbon overdrive.
K2 wanted the Wayback 89 W to be the most confidence inspiring touring ski ever built, a ski that works so well that you can concentrate on achieving your objectives in the backcountry.
Built to tackle the descent as well as it effortlessly cruises on the ascent thanks to the very competitive low weight of 2.30 kg / pair (160 cm), the K2 Wayback 89 W raises the bar in touring ski performance.

All-Terrain Rocker:
Skis with All-Terrain rocker have a gradual rise to the tip for great versatility in all conditions, with a short, low rise in the tail for added control variable snow.
Titanal Touring Technology:
Titanal Touring Technology is based on the premise that going downhill is the priority. As with K2's high-end piste and freeride skis, K2 have incorporated Titanal laminates into the construction of their award-winning Wayback and Talkback skis.
