Lowa Renegade Evo GTX MID - Smoke Green/Grey

The RENEGADE has stood for exactly one attribute in particular over decades: the perfect fit. To take this feature to the next level, LOWA has added a few special details that make the new RENEGADE EVO GTX MID even more refined. Attention was paid, for example, to providing the upper with addi­tional comfort by using just one single piece of material for the inside of the forefoot area. This refinement elim­inated the need for super­fluous seams, so that the nubuck leather can now flexibly adjust to the indi­vidual shape of the wearer’s foot bones, preventing friction and taking pressure off the big toe joint. The dual-zone lacing system also supports this effect by making adjustments to indi­vidual needs even easier, thanks to the redesigned locking hooks. The waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX membrane is a further guarantee for heightened comfort. In addition, the new RENEGADE features a newly designed sole package: the directly injected midsole comprises two impact-absorbing components. The first layer is made of LOWA® DYNAPU® and the second of a firmer element that works in tandem with the CROSS OVER FRAME to provide optimal guidance. The new VIBRAM-RENE-TRAC® sole provides dependable grip.

DNYA PU
The midsole is the leading contributor to the foot­wear’s rolling prop­erties and cush­ioning. In the RENEGADE EVO GTX MID, this midsole is made of a specially developed plastic: LOWA DynaPU®. The special feature: It retains its restoring force even when it’s pressed together thousands of times. As a result, the finished boots will maintain their excep­tional cush­ioning prop­erties even after you have walked many kilo­metres in them.

Two-Zone Lacing
Thanks to the two-zone lacing system used in the RENEGADE EVO GTX MID, the forefoot and upper have their own separately adjustable lacing zones. As a result, the shoe can be indi­vidually adapted to the anatomy of the foot and laced in different ways for ascents and descents.

Support Frame
With the LOWA MONOWRAP® frame, the midsole of the RENEGADE EVO GTX MID provides the very best comfort. This three-dimen­sional midsole design was developed by LOWA in 1995. The frame comfortably cradles the foot and support it when the shoe wearer ventures across uneven surfaces. The sole design is slightly raised for shoes with a SUPPORT FRAME.

Double Injection
To provide effective cush­ioning and improved comfort, the sole of the RENEGADE EVO GTX MID is bonded to the upper in a tech­nically demanding injection process. The upper boot is placed into a specially designed mould. Various layers of PU foam padding are then poured into it. In the process, the sole and upper are bonded together.
