Fischer have spent the last two years developing the 2024 Ranger skis with the Fischer freeski US team. Fischer has completely redesigned the Ranger series, a veritable institution chez Fischer, and the result are skis that you can push as hard as the previous Rangers (which had a great reputation amongst experienced alpine skiers) but with a character that will attract new school skiers looking for a more playful ski that drifts easily and with a tonic flex that returns the energy at the end of the turn. The 2024 Ranger series consists of 5 models (Ranger 90, 96, 102, 108 & 116 mm underfoot) built with increasingly large titanal plates and progressively longer rocker as ski width increases so as to optimise flex and float for each model. Fischer's Ranger FR 102 was a massively popular ski the last two seasons and skiers will be keen to know how the new 2024 Ranger 102 compares. The good news is that the new model has lost none of the playfulness of the FR 102 and offers fantastic versatility and can carve and float as conditions demand. With Fischer's Freeski rocker profile with tip and tail rocker combined with camber underfoot, the Ranger 102 grips well on hard snow while the early rise rocker and wide 138 mm tip (183 cm) provides plenty of float on powder days. The beech - poplar wood core combined with the calibrated Flex Cut and Shaped Ti titanal reinforcement provides a precise stable ride on piste and in chopped up and difficult snow conditions. The 2024 Ranger 102 is a superb freeeride ski that excels in all conditions. Produced with a choice of two colours and 6 lengths, the Ranger 102 is sure to be in big demand this winter.
