Voile HyperCharger
The Voile Charger was first produced in 2011 and has been a best seller every winter.
For 2019 the new Voile HyperCharger has evolved into something quite different than the original version.
Most importantly the HyperCharger weighs quite a bit less. Voile have changed from using  Aspen to Paulownia for the HyperCharger.
The strength to weight ratio of Paulownia is renowned, but it is a little softer than Aspen.
To give the same lively flex as the previous model Voile have doubled the amount of Carbon Fiber in the lay-up, and reinforced the binding mounts.
The HyperCharger width has minimal taper from the shovel to the tail, and a longer running length (when compared to the Voile V8) giving this ski excellent edge grip in steep terrain.
The generous width and Early-Rise camber profile provide exceptional float, even in the deepest, lightest, snow.
There is a fine line when deciding between weight savings and performance. The Voile HyperCharger rides that line perfectly, as it dices narrow couloirs, rips wide-open aprons and dances through powder-filled tree lines.
Really, really, well.

Voile have gained a loyal following in the backcountry world with their light, wide yet torsionally rigid skis. Many AT ski brands are now making similar skis, but Voile's stand out for their commitment to making wide skis that tour.

Voile Hyper V6.
Voile's V6 has been given an upgrade for 2019 and the new Hyper V6 has a superlight paulownia wood core and twice as much carbon fiber as the 2018 model. The Hyper V6 is about 15% lighter yet is durable thanks to the reinforced central binding mounting zone.
Light should not mean wimpy, and even with these weight savings the Hyper V6 has the downhill performance of the original Voile V6. With it's long rockered tip and tapered shape, the Hyper V6 is quick to rise even in the lightest powder. The medium turning radius and shorter running length allows effortless transfer from edge-to-edge while the stiffer central zone gives plenty of grip on hardpack.
The Voile Hyper V6 is a modern light, mid-fat touring ski with a snappy flex that's great fun.

Voile HyperVector
New for 2019, Voile's "Hyper" series skis are based upon the popular "Ultra" series but push the technological envelope and shed some weight thanks to the new  paulownia wood core and proprietary carbon/ fiberglass laminate. These new skis are about 350 g lighter than the equivalent "Ultra" model (which are themselves already light) and as you know, every gram counts when touring.
Thanks to the new construction and even lower weight, the HyperVector climbs effortlessly, but don’t be fooled by its thirst for the up-track. This is a ski designed for downhill performance as much as uphill performance. It shares the same camber profile and overall concept of the SuperCharger, but in a slimmed down version that’s easier to drag along the skin track. Like the other skis in Voilé's “Hyper Series”, the HyperVector has a paulownia wood core and proprietary carbon/ fiberglass weave. A backcountry ski that works all season from the first dump of the autumn to late spring corn.

Voile Objective Ski
The Objective is a little different, a ski with a narrower "European" style shape with a 82 mm waist (171 cm) that is ideal for all mountain touring, for east coast US where the snow is more often compacted.
Wider than the pure Skimo race skis the WSP and WSG, but narrower than the UltraVector, this ski will please "traditional" European tourers who prefer a lightweight narrow ski.

Fast up and fast down, the Objective is light enough to go the distance and stiff enough to hold an edge on boilerplate.
Weighing in a only 2.10 kg a pair (171 cm) the Objective is designed for fast ascents and long-distance travel.  It is also an excellent choice for skimo fitness training.

Black Crows are above all about Big Mountain skis. Skis that are long, wide freedom machines designed for big mountains and deep forests. Skis for off piste resort skiing and for making the most of backcountry powder. Black Crows big mountain skis are built with either a single-rocker profile, like the Corvus, which have a more traditional alpine feel, and double rocker models such as the Nocta, Anima and Atris, which suit a more playful, modern style of skiing.

The Nocta is the widest Black Crows ski and supplies great flotation and good handling, the Nocta is the ultimate toy for big conditions.
The association of great float, full reverse camber and straight edges allow the Nocta to accumulate big flotation in powder, good stability on the edges and a great handling.

Black Crows pro rider Callum Petit raves about the Nocta:
"My favorite powder shape I've skied to date! the reverse camber makes them turn on a dime and you can really feel the ski working under your feet. in powder the control you have is incredible. with the narrower tip width it makes the swing weight lighter, making butters and spins feel effortless."

Features:

Big width
122mm waist.
Reverse Camber
Easy pivot and easy to carve.
Extended sidecut
Big turning radius, giving stability at high speed.
Flex
Moderate flex along the whole ski for tolerance and high performance.

Features:

Hollowtech:
Key technology is unique to ski manufacturing. By removing unneeded layers in the front of the ski to make the ski lighter. This results in several advantages: the ski becomes up to 30 % damper, the ski feels more stable, edge-grip is more powerful, steering is more precise and the overall weight is reduced. Beginning this year, we are equipping all skis with the larger Hollowtech 2.0 — with the size of each Hollowtech adapted to individual model lines. A larger design for even better performance.
Woodcore:
Each Kästle ski is built with the finest wood core, manufactured with precision to one-tenth of a millimeter. This allows us to control the weight, responsiveness and dampening characteristics of the ski, resulting in a high-quality, durable product. The wood type, or combination of different woods, is individually catered to each model line, based on the ski‘s intended application.
Sandwich-Sidewall construction:
This design gives every Kästle Ski optimal flex and torsional rigidity, creating sensitive and direct power transmission and ensuring total control, even at high speed. For the TX98, the Semi-Cap Sandwich-Sidewall Construction is used, in which the top sheet protects the upper edge of the ski.
Elliptical radius:
Each model is designed to have its own carving characteristics, which is based on the ski’s intended application, by adjusting the radius along the waist of the ski. The shape of the Elliptical Radius determines how quickly and aggressively the ski enters and exits a turn.
Graphite sinter base:
Kästle uses uncompromisingly high-quality UHM Graphite Sintered Bases, these are used in racing. The result: excellent sliding and wax absorption properties in a durable, long lasting base.
Camber:
With Low Camber, the ski center is slightly elevated and the contact points are moved toward the ski center. The effective edge is consequentially less, and the ski is more playful and forgiving.
Shovel and tail:
With the shovel and tail design, Kastle can refine the aggressiveness of skis. The Hook Free Shovel is a longer shovel that is often combined with Early or Progressive Rise. With this design the contact point to the snow is moved toward the center of the ski, thus ensuring a more forgiving and playful performance. The Hook Free Tail is often combined with Dual Rise and a longer tail, with the contact point being moved toward the center of the ski. The result is a forgiving, playful performance when exiting a turn.
Rise:
With Rise technology, Kastle optimizes the shovel of the ski and control its float depending on the ski’s application. Progressive Rise optimizes float and easy turning in freeride and all-mountain freeride conditions. Dual rise technology combined with an adapted Camber profile creates a ski which guarantees the best float, even in the deepest of snow, without losing responsiveness.

Powerful yet playful, a great choice for skiers who like big lines, jumps and fast pivots to change direction. A true twin-tip with 22% tip rocker, 18% tail rocker and a short 60% central cambered section, the Anima is highly reactive, nimble for such a fat ski and great fun. Black Crows know when not to change a winning design. If you're looking for a powder ski for creative powder skiing, take a look at the Anima.

Kristofer Turdell says:
"The anima is the ski i used in every contest and for most of my days on skis over the past two years. the turning radius is long enough to make it stable at high speed and its slightly softer tail makes it manoeuvrable in tight places. it's the perfect mix between ski width, taper, turning radius and rocker. Kristofer Turdell."

Features:

Big Width
115mm underfoot for all lengths
Double Rocker
22% tip and 18% tail rocker for immediate pivots.
Short Classic Camber
Classic camber underfoot with a short ski/snow contact, giving better manoeuvrability.
Extended Sidecut
Long turning radius, giving stability at high speed.
Consistent and Progressive Tip Rise
Good float and smooth turn initiation in the deepest powder.
Smooth progressive flex in the tip and tail, but stiffer underfoot where the ski touches the snow: good flex distribution in soft snow and efficient grip on hardpack.
Core:
Poplar.
Laminates:
Triaxial and biaxial fibreglass plus carbon kevlar strips
Sidewalls:
ABS semi-cap step down.
Fat Edges.

The Dictator floats through fresh snow and crud like a boss, never flustered and taking control in all conditions. Dual radius sidecut and surf zone technology makes sure that these skis don't hook up at high speed, your turn in control and your speed fast.
The 115mm waist width gives you a boatful of float in the deep and chopped up snow as well as a whole load of landing gear when you decide to send it.
Not a ski for every day, but te ski that you need to make the most of ideal powder conditions!!

Features:

Dual Radius Sidecut
In front of the binding, a shorter radius sidecut provides quick response and control for tighter turns while a longer radius in the tail keeps you stable, feeling solid when you’re charging.
The result is a ski that surfs seamlessly between different turn angles and never drags.
Fusion Light Core
A blend of poplar and paulownia results in a lightweight core with excellent responsiveness and rebound, complimenting and offsetting the two full layers of Titanal metal that Faction sandwich on either side of it.
Dual Titanal
Titanal is isotropic, meaning that it is equally strong in all directions. This means that the ski loves being on an edge, blasts through bumps and feels stable even in changeable snow, making it the perfect chassis for a holy grail, hard-charging freeride ski.
Surf Zones
Surf Zone tech unites Rocker and Tip Taper design to make sure these two key features work in harmony.
Rocker provides float and facilitates pivoting, while a Tapered Tip moves the widest part of the ski closer to the centre and removes unwanted hooking.
Freeride Flat Tail
Traditional flat tail design is built for speed, ultimate edge grip and control throughout charging turns. Brought into the modern day with a slight tail rocker, this shape is easier than ever to slash your turn into a slarve and won’t hook up in fresh conditions.

The construction and ultra-flat design translates into a fantastic edge grip and lightning-fast responsiveness, so there are absolutely no limits placed on highly athletic, varied skiing.
Multilayer Woodcore
The combination of beech and poplar results in an extremely durable wood core composed of hard wood in the binding area and lighter wood around.
3D.Ridge Carbon
Central Woodcore Ridge with superslim wings to significantly reduce weight and swing weight and keep the stability where necessary. Combined with Full Carbon Jacket for Stability.
Ice.Off Topsheet
Topsheet technology to reduce the weight of the ski when skiing and hiking. Will reduce the snow attachment to the ski at an average of 20% to 30%.
The next step in effective weight reduction. ICE.OFF stands for the latest topsheet technology on our touring skis. The unique surface structure and material composition reduces icing as the snow simply slides off the topsheet. This leads to a drastic reduction of weight in use, on average up to 20% to 30%. In addition, mainly white graphics support the anti-icing effect. Lighter skis prevent fatigue, especially on long and steep uphill sections.
Skin Pin
100% secure and custom-fit connection of skin to ski.
Moderate Taper
Moderate setup of tapered tips for an allmountain oriented combination of precision on piste and easy handling off piste.
Full Crabon Jacket
Material layup for direct transmission and high reliability/stability at the lighest possible weight.
Center Sidewall
Direct and strong powertransmission with partial sidewalls in the center of the ski, combined with the superslim 3D.Ridge construction.
Base P-Tex 4500
A sintered, ultra-high molecular polyethylene base with an extremely high density. Besides a great wear resistance and perfect wax absorption the P-Tex 4504 is extremely fast and exclusively used on our top of the line and race models. The material has been upgraded with special additives to make it thermal and electro-conductive and proves its qualities with premium glide and maximum speed in races.

Zag could make the Bakan so light by using a paulownia wood core with a new mix of glass and carbon fibers that provide superb torsional rigidity even for a ski this wide. To ensure durability in backcountry conditions Zag have used ABS sidewalls. Zag have been able to reduce the weight of the paulownia wood core for 2019 to make the new Bakan an even better backcountry powder tool.

Looking to ski powder in the remote backcountry? The Bakan is light enough to get you there and wide enough to make the most of the deepest off piste conditions and the most beautiful descents.
