Fischer S-Bound 98 Crown / Dual Skin Xtralite Ski 2027

The S-Bound 98 is Fischer's widest nordic touring ski, with a generous 98-69-88 mm sidecut and is built with Fischer's "Nordic Rocker Camber" flex that combines a traditional medium stiff nordic camber underfoot with a longer more progressive cambered tip. This flex profile makes turn initiation easier and less energy demanding, so that downhill skiing is less tiring and more fun.
The S-Bound 98 is a good choice for skiers wanting to cover some distance but also enjoy steeper terrain and deeper snow, which can be tricky using the narrower more traditional models. On the flat and moderate climbs the waxless Crown base works well. For steeper slops use skins - either full length, or Fischer's short Easy Skins that clip into the slot in at the front of the fishscale area. For steeper icy slopes we do recommend full length skins. The S-Bound 98 works equally well with Rottefella's NNN-BC Magnum bindings, 75 mm lightweight telemark bindings or the Rottefella Xplore bindings, and is a great choice for skiers wanting a versatile ski for that will allow them to enjoy the descent a well as covering the distance.
