The Backland 101 W is a women's specific free-rando touring ski, introduced last winter and stays unchanged for this winter. The Backland 101 W is packed as you'd expect with Atomic's latest design innovations, and weighs in at only 2.52 kg / pair (164 cm), light enough for extended tours and efficient skinning.
Built with a super versatile 127-101-117.5 mm shape, the Backland 101 W performs superbly in all snow conditions - wide enough for good float in soft snow, while providing grip and stability in harder conditions.
The Backland 101 W has All Mountain Rocker with 20% tip rocker, 65% camber underfoot and 15% tail rocker, while the three dimensional HRZN 3D tip provides additional float and makes turn initiation intuitive.
Combined with a light FreeTour Profile construction which uses less fibreglass and more poplar wood, the Backland 101 W has a playful yet reassuring character, letting you concentrate on enjoyng the touring.
Atomic have been working hard to reduce the environmental footprint of their skis and production of the Backland 101 W produces 26% less emissions than the 2022 Backland 100.
