Gecko Mohair-Nylon Mix Climbing Skins

Gecko were the 1st brand to develop so called “glue-less” climbing skins and over nearly ten years have incrementally improved the formulation to give ever better performance and reliability.
The Gecko Mohair-Mix skins offer good glide and excellent grip and durability. 
The glue-less design of these skins means these skins are considerably lighter than traditional glued skins.

Glue-less skins offer many advantages in terms of convenience and usability:

Glue-less skins are quick to apply and remove and are easy to handle even in windy conditions.
They can be rolled up and packed in the backpack or jacket pockets quickly and cleanly. 
No glue residue to stick on the skis, no need to carry spare glue or adhesive strips, no need for “netting” or protective strips after use.
Gecko skins are waterproof thanks to a hydrophobic treatment that prevents water absorption.
Skins can be cleaned by washing at 30°C in the washing machine or can be rinsed with cold water to remove dirt.
Gecko skins are resistant to cold (-50°C) and heat (65°C) and are ecologically clean, being produced without chemical additives.

Gecko mohair-mix skins are 200cm long and available in 125mm and 140mm widths.
The plastic tip and tail attachments look a little "cheap" but in fact do work well.
Glue-less skins require less tension in the elastic tail strap than glued skins, just enough to give some tension, not more.
