Kastle ZX100 Ski 2024

The ZX100 is designed for entertaining all mountain and freeride skiing, for skiers looking for a performance ski that's a lot of fun when pushed, but that is less demanding than the all-out speed machines from the Kastle MX and FX series.
Built with a relatively simple construction by Kastle's exacting standards, the ZX100 has a poplar/beech wood core, semi-cap sandwich-sidewall construction and two fibreglass sheets with medium length stringers.
The result is a ski that's lighter than the FX series yet has a nice snappy flex. But what really stands out on these skis is the rocker and taper. The ZX100 has a lot of both.
The ZX100 features Kastle's Progressive Rise. Tip rocker is long and gradual and is combined with long tip taper. The contact point is set far back, making these skis agile and fun in tight conditions, while the progressive rise provides stability and float in deeper conditions.
There's also a small tail rocker and taper, but much less pronounced, and the ZX100 has plenty of power coming out of the turn.
Quite grippy on piste, agile and with a snappy flex, these skis really are a lot of fun and would work very well as a "fattish quiver of one", especially if you're lucky enough to mainly ski fresh snow.
Built for the next generation of chargers, this do-it-all ski is for freeriders of any age.

Features Kastle ZX100 Ski 2024:

Hollowtech 2.0
Kastle's patented Hollowtech 2.0 technology is unique. By removing unneeded layers in the front of the ski Kastle make the ski lighter. This results in several advantages: the ski becomes up to 30 % damper, the ski feels more stable, edge-grip is more powerful, steering is more precise and the overall weight is reduced. The size of the Hollowtech is always precisely matched to the shovel of each particular model - for performance that's truly unbeatable.
Sandwich Sidewall Construction
The semi-cap sandwich construction combines the durability of a robust CAP build with the performance and stability of a sidewall construction. The topsheet is extended down to the ABS sidewall to give the sidewall more protection at the same time as maintaining the torsional rigidity of a classic sidewall construction.
Beech / Poplar Woodcore
Each Kästle ski is built with the finest woodcore, manufactured with precision to one-tenth of a millimeter. This allows them to control the weight, responsiveness and dampening characteristics of the ski, resulting in a high-quality, durable product.
The combination of different woods is individually crafted for each model based upon the ski‘s intended application. Kastle guarantee unique handling with outstanding performance.
Low Camber
With low camber, the ski center is slightly elevated and the contact points are moved toward the ski center. The effective edge is consequentially less, and the ski is more playful and forgiving.
Progressive Rise / Dual Rise
Progressive Rise with a long gradual rocker optimizes float and easy turning in freeride conditions.
Dual Rise technology combines progressive rise with low camber, resulting in a shape which guarantees the best float even in the deepest of snow without losing versatility in harder conditions.
Hook Free Shovel and Tail
The Hook Free Shovel is a longer shovel that is often combined with Progressive Rise. By tapering the tip so that the widest part os the tip is set further back, the contact point to the snow is moved toward the center of the ski, thus ensuring a more forgiving and playful performance.
The Hook free Tail is often combined with Dual Rise and a longer tail, with the contact point being moved toward the center of the ski. The result is a forgiving, playful performance when exiting a turn.
