A modern, light backcountry freestyle ski, the Line Vision 108 continues with new graphics for 2023. Designed for backcountry powder days, the Line Vision 108 has much more forward centered boot position compared to most touring skis. Just compare with the K2 Wayback 106 to see the difference. The Vision 108 has a moderate 19.5 m turning radius combined with a 5-point geometry sidecut, double rocker and easy pivoting, making this ski adept at making long, medium or short turns as the terrain dictates and the mood takes you. The "THC" for "Triple Hydrid Construction" core gives the Vision 108 a nice low weight (1.605 kg per ski), but makes these skis super damp and amazing efficient at absorbing vibrations. Line combined Aramid (similar to Kevlar), Carbon fiber, and Fiberglass into a proprietary stack laminate whose elements resonate at different frequencies which in turn cancel each other out, creating a hyper damping ski experience without adding weight. This works so well that we expect to see plenty of skiers mounting these with alpine bindings, which totally makes sense for a ski with this character.
Quite soft at tip and tail, the Line Vision 108 deforms well and anchors well in the curve, its centered mounting makes it very fast edge to edge. In powder snow the pivot works well with the ski centered and freestyle skiers used to skiing centered will enjoy the Vision 108, while traditional skiers used to pressuring the tips may take a little longer to learn how to ski such a ski. Line have produced a thoroughly modern, light and playful touring ski with a freestyle character, just the ski for backcountry freestylers
