We have found that Scarpa mondopoint sizes do not correspond with those of other brands at the extreme ends of the size scale. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you like some help in deciding which size you need.
Scarpa's stiffest flexing NTN standard telemark boot, the TX Comp has a flat sole, triple-injection Pebax shell and Intuition® heat-mouldable liner and is a good choice for strong skiers wanting a boot for driving medium and wide skis. A good boot for skiers using the Rottefella NTN Freedom and Freeride and the 22 Designs Outlaw X bindings, the TX Comps do not have inserts at the boot toe so cannot be used with "2-pin NTN" bindings such as the Meidjo 2.1, TTS and Moonlight bindings (we would like Scarpa to add inserts to these boots, and have been asking them to do so for several years; we live in hope...). Scarpa developed the TX Comps using the same technology as their stiffest freeride boots and the TX Comp inherits the edge control and stiffness you need to drive fat skis at speed. The triple-injection shell has dual-injection bellows giving a medium-stiff forward flex. External and dual-injected bellows guard for longevity and performance. At 102mm wide in the forefoot and with an Intuition® liner, the TX Comp is fully customizable for the best fit and strongest skiing possible. Four buckles, all Pebax®, and no "tele toe," this is the boot to push your boundaries.
