A new boot for 2025, the F1 Junior is Scarpa's very first ski touring boot specially designed for children.
Ski touring is becoming ever more popular as more and more people look to enjoy the mountains in winter. Until recently there was little in the way of alpine touring gear designed specifically for kids, but this winter we're pleased to announce that we stock Dynafit skis, ATK bindings and now these new Scarpa boots. This is great news for families who want to ski together, with equipment designed to let kids concentrate on the skinning and skiing and learning mountain skills.
Available in sizes 21.5-26 MP ( 35-41 European), the F1 Junior shares the same general design of the award-winning F1 adult's boots, but with a shell and liner construction designed for children's morphology, weight and strength.
The Grilamid shell is light yet rigid while the tongue has a flexible system to ensure correct positioning above the shell.
Boot closure is acheived using the Boa system and a large Velcro strap on the cuff. The Boa allows precise adjustment of the closure and avoids pressure points with minimal effor or strength required - it's child's play. The F1 Junior has a similar ski/walk mechanism to the adult's boots, with the metal bar conferring a stable position in ski mode for optimum control.
The Intuition thermoformable liners guarantee a warm, precise and comfortable fit.
The F1 Junior offers exceptional performance for children and will help them experience the wonders of backcountry skiing from an early age.
While not much cheaper than adult's AT boots, the F1 Junior is sure to command a high 2nd hand price, making kitting out the kids a reasonable proposition long term.
