Volkl Mantra 102 Ski 2025

A mid-fat ski that sits at the junction between all-mountain skis and powder skis, the Mantra 102 can be considered a wider version of the Mantra 88, sharing a very similar and equally strong construction and stiff flex.
The Mantra 102 is constructed with Volkl's excellent multi-layer beech and poplar wood core, with heavy-duty wood under the binding surrounded by lighter wood.
Designed for expert skiers looking for powerful stiffness that excels in medium to long turns, the Mantra 102 has a relatively short tip and tail rocker and a long, efficient edge.
The custom Titanal frame, present in the Mantra, Secret and Kenja models, is an evolution of the Titanal frame. In this design, the width of the Titanal top layer is matched to the length of the ski so that the resulting torsional rigidity is matched to the weight of the skier. Titanal content is reduced in shorter skis, meaning smaller, lighter skiers can get the most out of their skis without undue effort.
The Tailored Carbon Tips make the Mantra 102 extremely versatile. Carbon fibers applied using Tailored Fiber Placement (TFP) allow Volkl engineers to influence corner initiation with great precision. The strength and alignment of the fibers define the forces needed to be applied and the energy that accumulates where it is needed.

Like the Mantra 88, the Mantra 102 features the 3D radius, with a long tip and tail radius for big turns and high speed, combined with easy steering and easy corner exit.
The 184cm length weighs 4.4kg per pair, so you get what you pay for. The weight and stiffer flex make these skis perform very well on hard snow, but not only that, and the Mantra 102 also skis well in chopped snow and powder.
A strong, sturdy ski for hard-charging expert skiers, the new Mantra 102 is sure to have many fans this winter.
