The inventor of both snowboard splitboading and the first telemark release binding, Voilé has always been at the forefront of creative solutions to improve backcountry touring. Voile skis are reknowned for combining generous width and a snappy flex with low weight for efficient touring. For touring undulating terrain with many shorter climbs and descents, Voilés BC series skis with waxless (or should that be "skinless"?) bases are supremely practical, the Voilé "Traction-Pattern Base" providing practical grip for moderate climbs.
Following on the success of the Vector BC and Charger BC, the V6 BC represents Voilé’s third foray into the domain of scaled-base skis. These skis are not for everyone or every variety of slope but for travelling fast and far over undulating terrain, the V6 BC’s can be a welcome godsend. Does the V6 BC replace the need to carry skins? No, definitely not, you should still take skins for longer, steeper or icy conditions, while the waxless base saves time on moderate slopes.
Thanks to the same lightweight Aspen core and carbon-fiber construction as the V6, as well as the Voilé Hybrid Rocker, the V6 BC will still impress when skiing steeper downhill pitches.
Like the Vector BC and Charger BC, the V6 BC offers lots of fun and is a very practical choice for skiing moderate slopes with fresh or soft snow.
