Voile's "Hyper" series skis offer 13-15% weight saving compared to the "Ultra" series models so you can go further, faster and easier into the backcountry. Voile achieved this by using a superlight paulownia wood core and twice the amount of carbon fiber compared to the "Ultra" models provide the weight saving. Backcountry skis also need to be durable so Voile beefed up the core in the binding mounting zone. So how does it ski? Even with the 13%-15% weight savings, you still get the downhill performance of the original Voile V6 BC. These skis have Voile's waxless (skinless?) Friction Traction Base for easy climbing in soft snow and moderate slopes, making these skis a great choice for moderate undulating terrain. Downhill, the V6 BC is quick to rise, even in the lightest powder—thanks to the tapered shape and Voilé Hybrid Rocker profile. With a tight turning radius and shorter running length, the Hyper V6 BC allows effortless transfer from edge-to-edge but won’t leave you panicking when holding an edge is critical.
ATTENTION: These skis are intended to be used with AT bindings. Voile Hyper V6 BC Skis mounted with telemark bindings or quiver killers are not covered under Voile factory warranty
