Lowa Sportschuhe is a German company specialized in the manufacture of ski and hiking boots. It was founded in 1923 in Jetzendorf in Upper Bavaria. In 2000, A big goal is achieved. With innovative products and premium quality made in Germany, Lowa produces and sells for the first time more than one million pairs of shoes per year. There is interest in the trade of footwear and sporting goods in Europe. Lowa has covered all the boots, including the strictest in the European Union in terms of manufacturing, environment and work. The company has put into practice what many other companies claim to do: clean production, minimal waste and fair work practices. From start to finish, all Lowa boots are 100% handmade and made in Europe. Lowa is also the only outdoor footwear manufacturer in the world to achieve ISO 9001 status for the highest construction and process standards. In 2010, Lowa Sportschuhe sold more than 2 million pairs of shoes and is considered as one of the largest outdoor shoe manufacturers in the world. Lowa is market leader in the German-speaking countries as well as in the Benelux countries and is also constantly strengthening its position in the main export markets of North America, Asia and Eastern Europe. Its strategy to manufacture 100% of its products in Germany and Europe and to bet on the Jetzendorf site, proves to be a model of uninterrupted success. Due to the financial problems that occurred in 1993, 90% of Lowa’s shares were sold to the Italian group Tecnica. Currently, 60% of the company belongs to Tecnica Group. Lowa shoes perfectly combine German rigour and Italian know-how. At Telemark Pyrénées, the Lowa brand is presented by the most popular "Renegade GTX Mid" hiking shoes, for men and women.
