Voile have gained a loyal following in the backcountry world with their light, wide yet torsionally rigid skis. Many AT ski brands are now making similar skis, but Voile's stand out for their commitment to making wide skis that tour.

Voile Objective Ski
The Objective is a little different, a ski with a narrower "European" style shape with a 82 mm waist (171 cm) that is ideal for all mountain touring, for east coast US where the snow is more often compacted.
Wider than the pure Skimo race skis the WSP and WSG, but narrower than the UltraVector, this ski will please "traditional" European tourers who prefer a lightweight narrow ski.

Fast up and fast down, the Objective is light enough to go the distance and stiff enough to hold an edge on boilerplate.
Weighing in a only 2.10 kg a pair (171 cm) the Objective is designed for fast ascents and long-distance travel.  It is also an excellent choice for skimo fitness training.

With 118 mm underfoot, Faction's Prime 4.0 is the widest ski in the premium Prime series, a skis that doesn’t back down when facing the most challenging ascents or the gnarliest descents.
Developed in collaboration with Faction's ski designer Patrik Sannes, the Prime 4.0 has a progressive shape featuring a multi dimension sidecut, making it agile and effective in tight, technical zones, bags of fun in powder or chopped up snow and a total charger when ripping giant turns down big mountain faces.
The Prime 4.0 sports a light yet strong hybrid core coupled with the ingenious use of textreme carbon which provides ridiculous amounts of torsional stability and edge grip for its weight.
Blessed with a massive 118mm underfoot, extended rocker tip and tail rocker for extra float and slashability, the Prime 4.0 is the tool of choice for riders like World Freewide Tour and UIAGM Mountain Guide Sam Anthamatten who are pushing the limits of steep skiing, taking their outdoor pursuits and styles of skiing to places and levels that didn’t seem possible.

Extended Tip/Tail Rocker

Faction's Extended Rocker has a reverse camber shape in the tip and tails, which along with waist width, is the most important element in providing float in fresh snow.

Hybrid Core
Faction reinforce the super lightweight Balsa with robust Flax fibres plus Poplar strips creating a durable wood core that holds an edge like other skis twice its weight.

Features:

Hollowtech:
Key technology is unique to ski manufacturing. By removing unneeded layers in the front of the ski to make the ski lighter. This results in several advantages: the ski becomes up to 30 % damper, the ski feels more stable, edge-grip is more powerful, steering is more precise and the overall weight is reduced. Beginning this year, we are equipping all skis with the larger Hollowtech 2.0 — with the size of each Hollowtech adapted to individual model lines. A larger design for even better performance.
Woodcore:
Each Kästle ski is built with the finest wood core, manufactured with precision to one-tenth of a millimeter. This allows us to control the weight, responsiveness and dampening characteristics of the ski, resulting in a high-quality, durable product. The wood type, or combination of different woods, is individually catered to each model line, based on the ski‘s intended application.
Sandwich-Sidewall construction:
This design gives every Kästle Ski optimal flex and torsional rigidity, creating sensitive and direct power transmission and ensuring total control, even at high speed. For the TX98, the Semi-Cap Sandwich-Sidewall Construction is used, in which the top sheet protects the upper edge of the ski.
Elliptical radius:
Each model is designed to have its own carving characteristics, which is based on the ski’s intended application, by adjusting the radius along the waist of the ski. The shape of the Elliptical Radius determines how quickly and aggressively the ski enters and exits a turn.
Graphite sinter base:
Kästle uses uncompromisingly high-quality UHM Graphite Sintered Bases, these are used in racing. The result: excellent sliding and wax absorption properties in a durable, long lasting base.
Camber:
With Low Camber, the ski center is slightly elevated and the contact points are moved toward the ski center. The effective edge is consequentially less, and the ski is more playful and forgiving.
Shovel and tail:
With the shovel and tail design, Kastle can refine the aggressiveness of skis. The Hook Free Shovel is a longer shovel that is often combined with Early or Progressive Rise. With this design the contact point to the snow is moved toward the center of the ski, thus ensuring a more forgiving and playful performance. The Hook Free Tail is often combined with Dual Rise and a longer tail, with the contact point being moved toward the center of the ski. The result is a forgiving, playful performance when exiting a turn.
Rise:
With Rise technology, Kastle optimizes the shovel of the ski and control its float depending on the ski’s application. Progressive Rise optimizes float and easy turning in freeride and all-mountain freeride conditions. Dual rise technology combined with an adapted Camber profile creates a ski which guarantees the best float, even in the deepest of snow, without losing responsiveness.

Faction's Dictator 4.0 is the widest ski in their Dictator freeride series and comes with a super generous 139-115-127 mm shape. Built for champagne powder and 50° slopes, the Dictator is a big mountain ski for fresh snow conditions. As solid as it is wide, the Dictator 4.0 comes packed with Dual Titanal Layers, a light yet strong poplar/paulownia fusion lite wood core, extended rocker and trimmed taper. The Dictator floats through fresh snow and crud like a boss, never flustered and taking control in all conditions. Dual radius sidecut and surf zone technology makes sure that these skis don't hook up at high speed, your turn in control and your speed fast.
The 115mm waist width gives you a boatful of float in the deep and chopped up snow as well as a whole load of landing gear when you decide to send it.
Not a ski for every day, but te ski that you need to make the most of ideal powder conditions!!

Features:

Dual Radius Sidecut
In front of the binding, a shorter radius sidecut provides quick response and control for tighter turns while a longer radius in the tail keeps you stable, feeling solid when you’re charging.
The result is a ski that surfs seamlessly between different turn angles and never drags.
Fusion Light Core
A blend of poplar and paulownia results in a lightweight core with excellent responsiveness and rebound, complimenting and offsetting the two full layers of Titanal metal that Faction sandwich on either side of it.
Dual Titanal
Titanal is isotropic, meaning that it is equally strong in all directions. This means that the ski loves being on an edge, blasts through bumps and feels stable even in changeable snow, making it the perfect chassis for a holy grail, hard-charging freeride ski.
Surf Zones
Surf Zone tech unites Rocker and Tip Taper design to make sure these two key features work in harmony.
Rocker provides float and facilitates pivoting, while a Tapered Tip moves the widest part of the ski closer to the centre and removes unwanted hooking.
Freeride Flat Tail
Traditional flat tail design is built for speed, ultimate edge grip and control throughout charging turns. Brought into the modern day with a slight tail rocker, this shape is easier than ever to slash your turn into a slarve and won’t hook up in fresh conditions.

The 90Eight pivots right away thanks to the tip & tail rocker while the full sidewall transmits power directly and reliably however fast you are skiing the hardpack.
A good choice for strong skiers wanting an all mountain ski with more emphasis offpiste than the Kendo, the 90Eight has moderate taper and a precision-matched flex that allows you to steer these skis anywhere you want.

Features:

3D.Glass
3D.GLASS is Völkl’s latest development to furthermore improve overall ski performance and stability even in critical snow conditions.
Multilayer Woodcore
The combination of beech and poplar results in an extremely durable wood core composed of hard wood in the binding area and lighter wood around.
3D.Ridge
Central Woodcore Ridge with superslim wings to significantly reduce weight and swing weight and keep the stability where necessary.
Our 3D.Ridge technology - is probably the most extreme and effective construction technique that currently exists. It has become a symbol of VÖLKL lightweight construction.
The distinctive characteristic of this technology is a raised central ridge that sharply levels out towards the edges, both in front of and behind the binding. This reduces the inertial mass around the fulcrum to a minimum and significantly enhances the agility of the ski. At the same time, the center ridge allows for a precise dimensioning of the hardness distribution, which leads to an especially harmonious flex on the ski. Despite the weight savings, the 3D.Ridge ensures that there are no compromises in the ski‘s durability and elasticity.
Carbon Stringers
Additional band of carbon in the layup for direct transmission, agility and life.
Full Sidewall
Direct and strong power transmission with full length sidewalls.
Moderate Taper
Moderate setup of tapered tips for an allmountain oriented combination of precision on piste and easy handling off piste.

Designed for skiing both inbounds and outbounds, Faction's Prime series skis are high-end freeride skis for advanced and expert skiers.
Engineered in the pursuit of excellence, the Faction Prime 2.0 excels all over the mountain. Featherweight due to its super-lightweight hybrid core, the 98mm underfoot Prime 2.0 boasts a whole load of torsional stability thanks to the innovative use of the proprietary weave textreme carbon, meaning the ski grips even in the hardest and iciest of conditions. A multi dimensional sidecut and extended tip and tail rocker gives the Prime 2.0 its dynamism, making it fun to carve on piste, nimble and manoeuvrable in those tight, no-fall-zone couloir entries, and exhilarating when you’re arcing out of the glacial bowl below. A titanal plate underfoot ensures the best possible reliability for your bindings when you decide to set off on your next touring adventure.
Lightweight and exceptionally stable, the Faction Prime 2.0 is the dynamic freeride and touring champion.

Features:

Extended Tip/Tail Rocker

Faction's Extended Rocker has a reverse camber shape in the tip and tails, which along with waist width, is the most important element in providing float in fresh snow.
Extended rocker also makes pivoting and turn initiation easier and means you have less chance of catching an edge.
Hybrid Core
Faction reinforce the super lightweight Balsa with robust Flax fibres plus Poplar strips creating a durable wood core that holds an edge like other skis twice its weight.
Textreme Carbon
Used in state of the art aeronautical engineering and deployed as a full layer of laminate in our skis. The weave is made up of thin strips that are resistant to even the smallest cracks and fissures - thinner, lighter and stronger than regular carbon.
Multi Dimension Sidecut
This manoeuvrable shape consists of a shorter radius underfoot, keeping the ski nimble on those steep and narrow entries, and longer radii blended out to the tip and tail that ensure a stable and surfy feel when you’re flying out the bottom.
Progressive Flat Tail
Stable to ski at high speeds, playful and easy to initiate turns at lower speeds – this shape exceeds expectations.

An excellent high performance all mountain ski that works equally well on hardpack and fresh snow.

Features:
Shape: All-Terrain Rocker

Skis with All-Terrain rocker all conditions, with a shoet low rise in the tail and a gradual rise in the tip for great versatility and additional control in variable snow.
Core Construction:
The Fir-Nono-Konic core uses Fir wood. This is a stiff, strong and dense wood that gives excellent edge-to-edge performance.
Metal Laminate Construction
A metal laminate, often shown by the "Ti" in the name of the ski, uses a sheet of titanal alloy above and below the core to give the ski a damp (vibration absorbing) and precise begaviour for improved performance.
Triaxially Braided Construction
K2's patented Triaxial braiding process interlocks strands of fibreglass around a profiled core. THis gives higher torsional stiffness combined with the snappy flex inherent in a wood cored ski.
Konic Technology - All Mountain
K2's Konic technology is a revolutionary ski design that a re-distributes mass in the ski, placing heavier and stiffer materials directly over the edge where they have the most impact on ski performance. This results in a ski with increased precision and high end power while retaining a large sweet spot.

The all-mountain model in Faction's freeride series, the Dictator 2.0 comes with a practical go-anywhere 122-95-110 mm sidecut that turns the whole mountain into a freeride playground.
Dual Titanal Layers, a poplar/paulownia fusion lite wood core, extended rocker and dual radius sidecut combine power with agility and responsiveness.
Equally at home arcing high speed turns or kick turning up your local couloir, the Dictator 2.0 works equally well as an inbounds resort and sidecountry ski.
Weighing only 3.50 kg a pair, you can tour with these skis which come equipped with a tail notch for skins.
Whether you resort ski or tour, the Faction Dictator 2.0 will leave you feeling amped in all conditions.

The women's version of Zag's well known H-95, the Zag H-95 Lady is designed to offer intermediate and professional level women skiers all-mountain performance and ease-of-use.
The H-95 Lady links turns effortlessly on the steepest slopes, floats in powder with seemingly uncanny ease and is a playful ski whatever the terrain.

Built for performance and durability, the H-95 Lady weighs a little more than similar shaped skis in Zag's touring series, but can be mounted with touring bindings to make a very competent free-rando ski.
Zag have given the H-95 Lady a lighter core than the men's, using both poplar and paulownia to reduce weight. The dual-layer multi-axial fiberglass provides power and rigidity for added stability and performance in all types of snow.

We recommend the Zag H-95 Lady for strong women freeriders and tourers wanting a ski designed for all-mountain downhill performance.

The Sick Day series are Line's freeride skis, built for intermediate and expert skiers wanting off piste performance. We stock the all-mountain Sick Day 94, and the fat Sick Day 104 and the powder-specific Sick Day 114.
Designed for fast freeride skiing, the Line Sick Day 94 has the punch to churn through crud and mixed snow conditions. Torsionally stiff, with an even flex and unmatched edge-hold, the Sick Day 94 is a hard charging ski and great fun. For 2019 Line have modified the structure with Magic Finger Carbon Filaments, which are a wide array of carbon stretching from tip to tail for added stability without sacrificing weight.

While the primary focus of these skis is downhill performance mounting the Sick Day 94  with solid free-rando bindings such as the Marker Kingpin 13 or Fritschi Tecton lets you access the backcountry.
Also great fun for strong freeheel skiers!!

Features:

Aspenlite
Directional Flex

The softer tip floats & initiates turns easily while the stiffer tail provides power, stability & high speed control.
5-Cut Geometry
Not one, not two but five different radii shapes are blended into the ski's overall sidecut to give you that intuitive control & unlimited turn shape.
Capwall
The best of both worlds! Cap on the top for light & playful performance with sidewall over the edge for added precision.
Early Rise
The rise of the tip and tail begin earlier as the ski profile moves away from center making for easier turn initiation and helps get the skis up on a plane more quickly. This also means effortless float in softer snow!
Early Taper
The widest point of the sidecut begins tapering earlier in the tip & tail which reduces hook ups in powder.
Magic Finger Carbon Filaments
New! A wide array of carbon stretching from tip to tail for added stability without sacrificing weight in the totally new Sick Day series.

Scott call their Slight series "Crossover Skis" since they combine the characteristics of an all-mountain ski with a carving ski. The result is a playful ski that carves like a dream on hardpack yet floats when you head offpiste.
The short turning radius and relatively stiff flat tail make these great fun on piste. Set them on the edge and enjoy the turn and the acceleration in between. Great fun.
With a relatively wide tip there's plenty of float in fresh snow and when you venture offpiste for the spring corn.
The Scott Slight 93 offers more float offpiste while the narrower Slight 83 applies more edge grip for sharper carving.
Both are great fun all-mountain resort skis.
Enjoy !!

Features:

3Dimension Sidecut
This revolutionary sidecut design combines a tip and tail with either a central flat line or a small amount of sidecut under foot.
The tip and tail radii allow for easy turn initiation while the flat line (freeski) or a larger radius (all conditions) provides stability, power and precise edge hold. This power design has earned accolades in the form of Winter X-Games Gold Medals and multiple ski test awards.
3Dimension Sidecut is utilized in two different forms, a centralized flat line for the freestyle and progressive oriented skier or as a large radius under foot for an all condition skier looking for versatile, high-performing ski.
Benefits:
+ Improved edge control and power underfoot
+ Adds stability and predictability to the ski
+ Improved pivot point for a playful ski
Pro-Tip Rocker 300
Combining a progressive shape with increased tip height and radius creates Pro-Tip Rocker. Scotts Pro-Tip provides a more versatile and forgiving ski no matter the conditions.
Benefits:
+ Improves ski agility and progressivness

Black Crows Orb Ski 2019

A modern classic from Black Crows, the Orb was updated last season and stays unchanged for 2019. Black Crows know when to leave a winning formula alone.
One of our best selling skis for several years, the Orb has a super versatile 91 mm underfoot and medium 18 m radius. Already a great all mountain ski, last year Black Crows added two full length titanal plates to improve performance on piste and hard snow, and this already impressive all terrain ski  was made even better. Black Crows rather unjustly consider the Orb a "resort" ski but it's more of a hard charging all mountain ski, with a stiffer flex and less rocker than the all terrain Captis.
An energetic ski that likes going fast on and off piste, with sufficient width to be highly efficient in powder and variable snow conditions.

Julien Regnier says:
"With the addition of two titanal plates, this ski has evolved into a real beast. the new orb has great pop and is full of life - now it's your turn to take it out to play. "

Features:

Moderate Width
91 mm waist that grips on hardpack with enough float in powder.
Front Rocker
17% tip rocker and 10% early rise tail for easy pivoting and float.
Medium Classic Camber
Classic camber underfoot for 73% of ski length giving a good balance between stability and manoeuvrability.
Double Titanal Plates
Full length twin titanal plates give an energetic flex and solid edge hold and with lots of grip along the whole length of the ski.
Core: Poplar
Laminates: Fibrelass and Titanal layers
Sidewall: ABS Sidewall semi-cap construction.

New for 2019, Volkl's BMT90 is their super-versatile touring ski, a touring ski that is light for the uphill but is built to offer excellent performance on the way back down.
Volkl have reduced the sidecut by 4 mm this winter (this ski replaces last season's BMT94) and the BMT90 is impressively light weighing only 2.82 kg / pair 177cm.
The full carbon jacket construction makes the ski smooth and stable, while tip/tail rocker with camber under foot provide liveliness and effortless maneuverability even in crud and variable snow conditions..

The new Volkl BMT 90 brings huge versatility to skiers looking for a light weight setup capable of long tours that can also ski the whole mountain in bounds in a variety of conditions.
Like the similarly shaped Orb from Black Crows, these skis will please traditional touring skiers wanting a ski with mid-fat shape that climbs well and skis all ofpiste snow conditions with aplomb.

Features:

Multilayer Woodcore Lite
The combination of beech and poplar results in a very durable wood core composed of hard wood in the binding area and very light wood in the other areas.
3D.Ridge Carbon
Central Woodcore Ridge with superslim wings to significantly reduce weight and swing weight and keep the stability where necessary. Combined with Full Carbon Jacket for Stability.
Ice.Off Tposheet
Topsheet technology to reduce the weight of the ski when skiing and hiking. Will reduce the snow attachment to the ski at an average of 20% to 30%.
The next step in effective weight reduction. ICE.OFF stands for the latest topsheet technology on our touring skis. The unique surface structure and material composition reduces icing as the snow simply slides off the topsheet. This leads to a drastic reduction of weight in use, on average up to 20% to 30%. In addition, mainly white graphics support the anti-icing effect. Lighter skis prevent fatigue, especially on long and steep uphill sections.
Skin Pin
100% secure and custom-fit connection of skin to ski.
Moderate Taper
Moderate setup of tapered tips for an allmountain oriented combination of precision on piste and easy handling off piste.
Full Carbon Jacket
Material layup for direct transmission and high reliability/stability at the lighest possible weight.
Center Sidewall
Direct and strong powertransmission with partial sidewalls in the center of the ski, combined with the superslim 3D.Ridge construction.
Base P-Tex 4500
A sintered, ultra-high molecular polyethylene base with an extremely high density. Besides a great wear resistance and perfect wax absorption the P-Tex 4504 is extremely fast and exclusively used on our top of the line and race models. The material has been upgraded with special additives to make it thermal and electro-conductive and proves its qualities with premium glide and maximum speed in races.

Stockli's Stormrider 88 was a big hit last winter, we just could get enough of them. A powerful mid-fat all-mountain freeride and free-rando ski, the Stormrider combines tourability with excellent downhill performance.
With a 128-88-114 mm shape and 19 m radius, the Stormrider 88 has a shape ideally suited to all mountain skiing. With a medium-stiff flex and excellent torsional rigidity, the '88 grips well on hardpack while the rockered tip gives great steerability and float offpiste.
Stockli have built the Stormrider 88 using their unique sidewall technology. The Polywal design offers 10 times more impact resistance without a loss of damping. The tried and proven construction and the Powder Rocker make the SR88 a really fine companion in deep powder and an easy partner when climbing.
Stockli skis are expensive and there is a reason. Stockli make absolutely no concessions when building skis, every model is built with the very best materials and hi-tech manufacturing processes to ensure the best possible performance and durability.
Unlike many cheaper light-wood cored skis, a Stockli ski will perform for many years without losing flex and pep.
While not the lightest ski in the mid-fat freeride touring category, the Stockli Stormrider 88 offers excellent downhill performance. Take a look at these skis if you're looking for a premium quality freeride/free-rando ski that excels in all snow conditions.
Don't delay if you're considering these skis, demand is sure to exceed supply again this winter.

The Scott Superguide series have been very popular models since they were introduced, lightweight modern touring skis with a balance between efficient climbing and downhill performance.
Scott's touring skis have always had a more American or Scandanavian influence and the Scott Superguide 88 is the narrowest in the series.
For many skiers in the more traditional alpine countries (Germany and Italy) and for the French CAFists this is already ridiculously wide !!
These skiers are missing a trick here, because the Superguide 88 has been one of TP's most popular skis for the last two winters.

The Scott Superguide 88 is remarkably light going up and confidently sound on the down. This ski features the same high-quality performance and construction as the Superguide 95, but on a narrower, nimbler width.
We consider 85-90 mm underfoot the ideal waist size for all round touring skis and the Superguide 88 fits bang in the middle here.
The Superguide 88 will no doubt be in big demand this winter and comes thoroughly recommended.

Features:

The Superguide 88 is a very popular ski and Scott have wisely made a women's specific ski with shorter lengths and a very slightly modified flex.

The Scott Superguide 88 W is remarkably light going up and confidently sound on the down.
We consider 85-90 mm underfoot the ideal waist size for all round touring skis and the Superguide 88 W fits bang in the middle here, being light for climb up, gripping well on ice and with enough float for fresh and spring snow.
The Superguide 88 W had many fans last season and will no doubt be in big demand again this winter.

Built with Trab's typical quality construction, the Altavia 7.0 has top quality 52 HRC steel edges and grips exceptionally well on hard snow.
Trab produce the Altavia with a choice of two flexes. Trab stock the stiffer Altavia 7.0.
The Altavia 7.0 is made in Bormio, northern Italy, using consolidated lightweight Li wood technology which uses 14 layers to wrap the light wood core.
Trab skis are rarely the cheapest in their category but the advacnced design and core technology means Trab skis have a durability rarely found with paulownia cored skis.
The Trab Altavia 7.0 is a superb precison-made "efficent" touring ski for rapid ascents and descents.

Features:

Liwood Core

A lightweight and quality core that  does not break the bank. A new light wood core reinforced with a fiberglass box wrapping around the skis provides light and high performance skis with durability and resistance. Wood is the most used raw material in ski production. For years designers have sought after a wood that is lightweight yet durable and strong, yet this goes against nature. A lightweight wood core needs to be supported by production processes and to be mixed with other types of wood to improve its strength; above all it must be wrapped by composite materials which give it torsional rigidity and durability.
Cap Piuma Quadriaxial
Core encased by compounds in 4 axial directions. Higher grip and precision, lower weight.
Steel Edges 52 HRC
Steel edges with 52 hrc hardness. 100 CR6 Microcrystalline. Maximum durability and guarantee of grip on ice.
Fiber Plate Support
Reinforced under the binding section. Maximum guarantee for the security of the ski-binding screws
Carbon Reinforcements
Various carbon, fiberglass and hybrid reinforcements. Excellent resistance to torsional stress and better flexibility curve.
Sintered Base
High molecular density sintered base. Excellent glide and durability.
Edge Radial Finishing
Microfinish-grinding and perfect tuning of the edges. Turning precision, easy to steer and excellent glide.
PA Strong Protection
Scratch proof polyamide protection film. Structure and design protection.

Please Note:
Please contact us if ordering Kastle skis for delivery to the USA.
The MSRP for the Kastle Kastle TX 82  is $849.00 USD.

The Kastle TX series are Kastle's ski touring skis. Apart from the race specific TX65 which is another beast, Kastle produce three TX touring skis, the TX82, TX90 and TX98.
Rather like Black Crows, albeit with a very different brand image, Kastle produce high quality touring skis which weigh a little more but which offer a truly superior experience on the way back down.
These are true backcountry skis, for ski tourers who are not trying to smash records when climbing, but may well do on the way back down!!

The TX 82 is the narrowest of the series, with a "traditional" width sidecut 11-82-107 mm and medium-short 16.5 m radius (172 cm).
Here at Telemark Pyrenees we call this type of the "efficient" series since that exactly what these are. They'll get up the hill quickly and give a stable descent. Whether your tour is deep into the backcountry, or an afternoon yo-yo skiing the local hill, these will get you there and back quickly and reliably, with lots of fun on the downhill. The TX82 ski impresses with unbeatable downhill maners and an excellent  performance/weight ratio.

Features:
Hollowtech
Key technology is unique to ski manufacturing. By removing unneeded layers in the front of the ski to make the ski lighter. This results in several advantages: the ski becomes up to 30 % damper, the ski feels more stable, edge-grip is more powerful, steering is more precise and the overall weight is reduced. Beginning this year, we are equipping all skis with the larger Hollowtech 2.0 — with the size of each Hollowtech adapted to individual model lines. A larger design for even better performance.
Woodcore
Each Kästle ski is built with the finest wood core, manufactured with precision to one-tenth of a millimeter. This allows Kastle to control the weight, responsiveness and dampening characteristics of the ski, resulting in a high-quality, durable product. The wood type, or combination of different woods, is individually catered to each model line, based on the ski‘s intended application.
Sandwich-Sidewall Construction
This design gives every Kästle Ski optimal flex and torsional rigidity, creating sensitive and direct power transmission and ensuring total control, even at high speed. For the TX98, the Semi-Cap Sandwich-Sidewall Construction is used, in which the top sheet protects the upper edge of the ski.
Elliptical radius
Each model is designed to have its own carving characteristics, which is based on the ski’s intended application, by adjusting the radius along the waist of the ski. The shape of the Elliptical Radius determines how quickly and aggressively the ski enters and exits a turn.
Graphite sinter base
Kästle uses uncompromisingly high-quality UHM Graphite Sintered Bases, these are used in racing. The result: excellent sliding and wax absorption properties in a durable, long lasting base.
Camber
With Low Camber, the ski center is slightly elevated and the contact points are moved toward the ski center. The effective edge is consequentially less, and the ski is more playful and forgiving.
Shovel and Tail
With the shovel and tail design, Kastle can refine the aggressiveness of skis. The Hook Free Shovel is a longer shovel that is often combined with Early or Progressive Rise. With this design the contact point to the snow is moved toward the center of the ski, thus ensuring a more forgiving and playful performance. The Hook Free Tail is often combined with Dual Rise and a longer tail, with the contact point being moved toward the center of the ski. The result is a forgiving, playful performance when exiting a turn.
Rise
With Rise technology, Kastle optimizes the shovel of the ski and control its float depending on the ski’s application. Progressive Rise optimizes float and easy turning in freeride and all-mountain freeride conditions. Dual Rise technology combined with an adapted Camber profile creates a ski which guarantees the best float, even in the deepest of snow, without losing responsiveness.

Dynafit have managed to combine a lightweight design (158 cm length weighs only 2.30 kg / pair)  with full sidewalls giving good edge grip on-piste. These skis stay stable, smooth and chatter free in icy conditions. The Speedfit 84 W has a rockered tip and tail for easy turn initiation. Rocker length is different for each ski length to maintain the optimal effective edge length for each size.
The Speedfit 84 W is agile thanks to Dynafit's 3D construction which reduces weight at the tip and tail in order to reduce overall swing weight without losing downhill performance.
The 3D carbon shovel improves damping properties on the descent. The SpeedFit 84 has a mixed wood core made from paulownia, ash and poplar.

A light ski for climbing efficiently, the Speedfit 84 W is a modern all-mountain touring ski with a medium stiff flex that also allows these skis to perform well in resorts.

Features:
Full Micro Sidewall:
This construction principle minimizes the use of materials in the side wall with lower height for the entire length of the ski. This makes the ski stiffer and increases edge pressure to give precise control when skiing steep slopes when you push the limits of possibilities.
3D Tech:
The 3D concept reduces the density around the binding mount area without compromising downhill performance.
3D Tip:
The 3-D carbon construction guarantees best vibration-damping capability.
Single Radius:
Harmonious sidecut to guarantee balanced skiing qualities
Constant Characteristics:
Unrivalled interaction between rocker length and sidecut according to ski length. This unparalleled interplay guarantees consistent properties at every ski length when ski touring.

The TX65 is Kastle's first ski mountaineering race ski. Built with a very smooth and even flex, wide edges for durability, the TX65 has a 98.5-65-79.8 mm sidecut and weighs in at a very competitive 1380 g per pair.

The Kastle TX series are Kastle's ski touring skis. Introduced at the end of last season, the TX65 HP is their ultralight race and training specific skimo ski.
Even when producing a ski that is 200% dedicated to skimo racing, Kastle are careful to make sure that the TX65 HP has an ultralight but strong construction, and wide edges for durability.
An excellent top quality skimo ski for advanced and expert competitors.

Kastle Pro Skimo racer Patrick Innerhofer says:
"The lightweight TX65 HP is an ideal partner in all my races. In ski mountaineering world cup, I need maximum stability combined with minimum weight, which is what the TX65 HP is all about. The dpwnhill perfomance is simple unbeatable and the weight of only 690 g per ski is unbelieveable."

Features:

HP High Performance
Kästle HP are high performance models that allows skiers to reach and exceed their limits. We create unique constructions with additional titanium or carbon layers for the most demanding skiers. Connoisseurs recognize this setup by the HP emblem on the ski.

Dynafit have always been super-focused on the skimo race ski touring niche, with many of the senior managers fanatically keen on competition.

For 2019 Dynafit have completely updated their top-of-the-line race ski and the new Dynafit DNA combines a full sidewall with cap construction.
Available in two lengths, 153 cm for women competitors and 162 cm for men, the Dynafit DNA has 230 mm tip rocker to faciltate turning and a flat tailfor stability.

Unusually, the two lengths have radically different sidecuts so it could be argued these deserve to be offered as two different skis.
The women's ski has a wider 99-65-80 mm sideut and a 18 m radius turn, while the men's sports a 94-64-79 mm shape and longer 24 m radius.
We've not had the chance to test the two sizes yet but presumably Dynafit have concluded women skiers prefer a ski that turns faster, while for the men the straighter and narrower profile gives an uphill advantage.

Developed by athletes for athletes, the new Dynafit DNA weighs in at only 690 g per ski (162 cm) to make sure that  you are the fastest on the mountain.
The Dynafit DNA come complete with a nifty ski bag.

Features:

Features:

Black Crows have taken a big risk for 2019 by updating their classic ski, the Corvus.
For this season Black Crows have completely updated the shape of the Corvus while keeping the same objective - the Corvus is a hard-charging Big Mountain ski.
Built with a flat camber and double titanal plates, the new Corvus is stiffer than the previous version, and requires more assertive skiing while in return the new flat camber allows the ski to pivot faster.
The new Corvus combines higher performance in difficult snow conditions and excellent grip on hardpack as well as faster pivoting in soft snow.
Aggressive skiers who like using the rebound at the end of the turn will find the new Corvus more neutral. This new design with the flat camber, titanal reinforcements and low rocker works very well and is superbly effective, with increased acceleration than the previous model while requiring slightly more attention when putting the flat camber on the edges. Skiers who liked the Volkl Katana and Blizzard Bodacious will enjoy the new Corvus.
Built for hard charging big mountain skiers, the Corvus offers even higher performance in all snow conditions.

Camille Jaccoux says:
"The corvus satisfies our quest for an equilibrium between authenticity and modernity. we've found that balance with a ski which combines a super-reactive pivot and an infallible alpine spirit."

Features:

Reverse camber, flat surface in the middle of the ski:
Plenty of pivot + very powerful grip.
Double titanal plates:
stability + precision
21m radius sidecut:

This versatility is at the core of Black Crow's design philosophy to create skis that will perform in a wide variety of snow conditions.

The Navis is a supremely versatile ski. With a medium (according to Black Crows) width of 102 mm underfoot, moderate flex and alpine drive, the Navis is an affable high-performance ski, which carves well, makes short and long radius turns as you please with quick edge- to-edge transition and is very stable on all types of terrain. The Navis has a long classic camber with progressive tip rocker and a short tail rocker. This combination makes the Navis an excellent ski for freeheel skiing as well alpine and free-rando.

Bruno Compagnet says:

"A pure freeride toy with a particularly playful flex and tail. the Navis is for the skier looking for a classic freeride ride with a more modern, rockered feel."
