Lange

Lange

It all started in 1948, when Bob Lange; the owner of a company manufacturing polyurethane products in Dubuque, Iowa, made an attempt to create the first plastic-reinforced ski boot made with polyester resin, which became one of the most significant turning points in the history of ski racing. In 1962, he created the first plastic boots with laces with the solution of molding the boot in two separate parts before intruducing metal buckles in 1965. In 1967, Nancy Greene (CAN), aka “The Tiger”, wins the first inaugural World Cup with the LANGE COMP boots. The product was quickly embraced by the world racing community. Lange ski boots soon became the worldwide standard in ski boots, earning more than 22 Olympic Gold Medals and over 500 World Cup victories.
