Ortovox 3+ Green

When someone is buried in the snow praying for rescue, every single second counts. Ortovox has a new avalanche transceiver that promises to assist in faster rescues using a new Smart Antenna system. Like most of Ortovox’s beacons, the 3+ has three antennas, with the “third antenna” really only coming into play in the pin-point search, where as the other two antennas are the ones that hone you into a buried transceiver and transmit a signal when you are skiing around or fearing for your life under the snow.
The system senses that you've been buried and automatically selects from three individual antennas to find the one with the strongest signal to the receiving unit of the searcher. The device then cuts out the other two antennas, eliminating weak signals and helping to provide a quicker, more direct route to you.

On the receiving end, the Ortovox 3 + is capable of displaying up to 3 individual victims in the case of a multi-burial. It also shows real-time information on the position, distance and direction to the victim. The device is rated for up to 250 hours of transmission from one AA battery. 5 years warranty.
