G3 Targa Ascent 11/12

The TARGA Ascent combines the lightweight TARGA T/9 with a pole-activated free pivot system, easily switching the binding from tour to ski mode.
In tour mode, the Ascent toe plate pivots unrestricted on a stainless steel axle, eliminating the burden of boot flex resistance. Biomechanically engineered for a natural feel and efficient stride, the Ascent's pivot point is located 7mm forward of the 'pin-line', quickly transforming telemarkers to trailbreakers.

A flick of the switch easily converts the Ascent into an aggressive high performance binding. A stainless steel sliding retainer moves into place above a forged stainless steel retention bar, securing the Ascent into ski mode. The 3° wedge and 40 mm rise further enhances the skiing performance over and above its T/9 predecessor, eliminating rocker launch and engaging the powerful G3 compression spring cartridges for outstanding downhill control.

The TARGA Ascent also includes a pole activated, elastomer-spring climbing heel, providing 70mm of rise and a very clean design.
Accessories available include additional climbing wires and ski crampons.
Available with World Cup, X-Mountain or Crosstour Cartridges:
World Cup cartridge is recommended for newer, very stiff boots and for racing and aggressive in-bounds skiing; 42 % stiffer than X-Mountain cartridges. Not recommended for deep powder. Produces substantial tip-dive pressure relative to other G3 cartridges.

X-Mountain cartridge is recommended for general lift served skiing and mixed use, especially for heavier skiers. G3 now recommend the X-Mountain as the "standard" spring stiffness.

We mount bindings on skis bought at the same time free of charge. To enable our ski men to correctly position the bindings on the skis please include the following information with your order:
1. The length in mm of your ski boot sole.
2. The model and size of your ski boots.
3. Your regular shoe size (European, UK or US men’s/women’s).
